Event Fundraising & The Stables Cafe
About Us
In the beginning, Doreen Heady used to do the fundraising stall for the stables and at Christmas she opened the doors to her own house to front the Christmas sale. When Doreen Heady was too ill to carry on fundraising, her daughter Suzanne Heady took over and continued what her mum had started. Later Elaine Gilfellon (Doreen Heady daughter) took over the running of the Stables Café with the help of her sister Suzanne.
Elaine together with Suzanne raised the ante, by starting Event fundraising outside the Stables. They started a second-hand book stall at Sainsburys New Barnet, followed by stalls at High Barnet, East Barnet Christmas Fair and The East Barnet Festival.
Doreen Heady and her daughters Elaine & Suzanne have been instrumental in Event Fundraising and making the Stables café a success. We are all extremely proud of their efforts and time in supporting the Stables Horse Activity Centre.
